    Thammasat Signs an Agreement on Blockchain Technology with External Partner

    Nowadays, technology is advancing and developing so fast. Every organization has to adapt to these changes. Thammasat University notices the importance of technology development and has signed an agreement to co-develop election system using blockchain. Assoc. Prof. Gasinee Witoonchart, President of Thammasat University, and Mr. Somchok Poonsuk, President of Surat Thani Provincial Public Health Saving Cooperative signed MOU together in order to develop saving cooperative’s election system using blockchain. The election will be transparent, secure, and easy to do fact-checking fast and efficiently.

    Center of Intellectual Property and Business Incubator Thammasat University will develop election system and hold the election in 2019 funded by Prof.Dr. Arnat Leemakdetch, President of TUIPI.

    In addition, Assoc. Prof. Gasinee Witoonchart, President of Thammasat University, signs MOU with Asia Wealth Security Company Limited. Mr. Kobkiat Boonteeravorn, CEO of Asia Wealth Security Co.,Ltd., is the one who signed the agreement. Thammasat University will provide support and give advice on the projects that the company is responsible for in terms of checking smart contract. Also, TU provide an academic counsel on blockchain technology and/or creating smart contract. In return, the company will exchange knowledge on commercial blockchain technology to Thammasat’s personnel.

    The cooperation will encourage all parties to be prepared for technology advancement in the future. The convention was held on 7 November 2019 at Pridi Banomyong Auditorium,Thammasat University Rangsit campus.
