    Teeth: Your body’s early warning system

    The work of a dentist no longer was only about drilling and filling decaying teeth. Marielle Pariseau, a dentist, entrepreneur and founder and CEO of Teeth First discovered that teeth are in fact are terribly fickle. Teeth don’t heal, that means fillings fail – a lesson that all dentists are reminded of throughout their careers. Concurrently, the rate of tooth decay begun increasing again despite the growing communities fluoridating their water, and the widespread use of fluoridated toothpaste and mouthwash.

    Today, 74 percent of the United States population has access to fluoridated water. However, why is tooth decay still the number one childhood disease (four times more common than asthma), when it was supposed to be completely gone now?
