    Teaching art or teaching to think like an artist?

    What is the purpose and value of Art education in the 21st Century?

    Creativity in the United States has witnessed a decline and the Torrance creativity test, which has been administered for decades, current revealed that since the 1990s, a decline especially in ages 6 to 12 in the United States.

    At present, schools are focusing on the cultivation of creativity. However, at the same time, educators are struggling with ambiguity that comes with creativity in the classrooms. On the contrary, artists recognise that ambiguity is part of the process. Therefore, they take it, identify it and resolve it promptly.

    Students are more than just artists’ assistants, present to get the project done.
