On July 9, 2019, the School of Materials and Minerals Resources, Universiti Sains Malaysia, invited Y. Bhg. Prof. Datuk Dr. Ahmad Fauzi Ismail, deputy vice-chancellor (research and innovation), Universiti Teknologi Malaysia, Skudai, Johor, to share his experience in publication. During his discussion, Prof. Datuk Dr. Ahmad Fauzi Ismail delivered a talk entitled “Making Publication as a Culture.”
The objectives of this talk were to introduce participants on how to manage research and get their research published. The speaker also shared some tips for beginners on how to write papers systematically and how to revise the rejected manuscript.
At the end of the talk, the chairman encouraged participants to ask questions. Most of the questions were related to the challenges in publication, research management, selection of journals, editors’ views on manuscripts, and others.
The talk was attended by academic staff and postgraduate students who were not only from the school but also from the entire engineering campus.
