Chulalongkorn School of Integrated Innovation (ScII) is partnering with Singha People Development on Research and Development, focusing on capacity development, joint innovation projects, and knowledge exchange.
Mr. Cholawit Sukudom, Managing Director, Singha People Development Co., Ltd. (SPPD), and Professor Worsak Kanok-Nukulchai, Executive Director, ScII, inked the agreement on November 23, 2020. The Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) was signed with Assoc. Prof. Dr. Natcha Thawesaengskulthai, Vice President for Strategic Planning, Innovation, and Global Engagement, Chulalongkorn University, and Mr. Chatchai Wiratyosin of Boon Rawd Brewery Co., Ltd. as witnesses.
The MoU stimulates joint research projects in the digital economy, artificial intelligence, robotics, sustainable development, and related fields, emphasizing human resource training and development. The two signatories will identify potential business projects, support training, provide internships, and build a research and development network.
“The partnership will promote innovation projects in multiple directions including upskilling, reskilling, and labor force training while aiming at the digital realization of AI and robotics and the sustainable development of the Kingdom,” Dr. Natcha Thawesaengskulthai said. “It also synchronizes the School of Integrated Innovation’s core specializations while providing invaluable partnership opportunities to both organizations and Thai society,” she remarked.
“Organizations are increasingly focusing on their people, and we are committed to investing in developing skills so that we can acquire new skills and emerge as more competitive,” Mr. Cholawit Sukudom said. “Additionally, we intend to help develop Small and Medium Enterprises and hope that university students can benefit from our internship program,” he added.
The event was held at the Chulalongkorn School of Integrated Innovation (ScII), with Dr. Pietro Borsano, a faculty member at ScII, as Emcee.
