Rector Jehangir Bashar Visits Beijing Technology & Business University for Possible Collaboration

Rector Jehangir Bashar of the GIK Institute had recently visited Beijing Technology & Business University (BTBU) in the People’s Republic of China to explore possibilities of collaboration between BTBU and GIK. Accompanied by Dr. Ata ur Rahman, Counsellor of Scientific & Technical Affairs at the Embassy of Pakistan (China), the Rector met with Vice President Li Chaoxian (BTBU), Head of the Pakistan Study Centre for S&T and Economy (BTBU) and researchers from the university to follow-up on a previous visit held last year. Both sides expressed their serious interest in a range of academic exchanges and joint research.

GIK has formed collaborations with a number of Chinese institutions in recent years. These include: Liaoning University, Nanjing Tech University, Xi’an Jiaotong University, Nanjing University of Aeronautics & Astronautics and Shenyang Aerospace University. Possible collaboration with BTBU, one of China’s oldest and top universities, will further strengthen the ties GIK has with Chinese institutions.
