Under the patronage of Her Excellency the Rector of Princess Nourah Bint Abdulrahman University, Dr. Huda Bint Omar Al Wehaibi, with the presence of the Medical Colleges Deans in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, Princess Nourah Bint Abdulrahman University, represented by College of Medicine, has launched the 10th Medical Career Day on Wednesday 20/02/2019 coinciding with the 41st Meeting of the Committee of Deans Faculties of Medicine in Saudi Arabia at the University’s Conference Center.
The conference is targeting students of Medicine and health colleges in Saudi to discuss many topics that contribute in the future of the professional career and strengthen the communication field with the needed recruiting and training institutions.
The opening ceremony began with verses from the Holy Qura’an. After that, on behalf of the Rector, Dr. Ahmed Al-Ghadeer the Vice Rector of Graduate Studies and Scientific Research has addressed a speech saying that one of the points of excellence at Princess Nourah University is that the University has got five health colleges, which their outputs characterized by: passing the professional tests with a percentage of more than 90% at all specialties, the students enrollment in various competitive nature fellowships and a in addition to Medicine and Nursing. Furthermore, Dr. Al-Ghadeer has pointed out to the major role that is played by the Government to support the women empowerment at all fields.
The Dean of College of Medicine at Princess Nourah Bint Abdulrahman University and the Chairperson of the Conference Organizing Committee, Dr. Nourah Al Zamel, has addressed a speech explaining that the purpose of the conference is to build bridges of communication between students and interns of medicine with different training and employment sectors at the labor market in addition to highlighting the different medical specialties in both: basic and clinical. Also to illustrate some important topics for students such as professionalism, medical ethics and medical law.
The Dean of College of Medicine at King Abdulaziz University and the Chairman of the Committee of Deans Faculties of Medicine in Saudi Arabia, Dr. Mahmoud Bin Shaheen Al-Ahwal, have stated that the 10th Medical Career Day Conference is considered one of the important conferences for health practitioners and graduates as it highlights many important topics that contribute in achieving the Saudi Vision 2030 through the country’s society.
The conference included a number of specialists in medicine and its researches, which included about (8) lectures in the field of Health and Medicine to enrich the conference.
