President University signed a memorandum of understanding (MoU) with PT Dayamandiri Dharmakonsilindo, an actuarial consulting service provider company and employee benefit scheme that already has an international network with several companies abroad. This MoU will later become a foundation for internships program, research, campus visits, guest lectures, and other educational activities conducted by the two institutions.
The signing was conducted at the PT Dayamandiri Dharmakonsilindo office in Jakarta on Tuesday, 11 February 2020. The event was attended by the Director and senior consultant of PT Dayamandiri Dharmakonsilindo Mourits Rompah, FSAI., the Head of Actuarial Study Program President University Maria Yus Trinity Irsan, S.Sc. , M.Sc., the Head of Partnership Bureau Marissa Astika, B.Sc., MBA, and Actuarial study program lecturer Dr. Edwin Setiawan Nugraha.
Maria revealed that this partnership was not only beneficial for students and companies, but also for the Actuarial study program itself. “In addition to providing an internship program for Actuarial students, this partnership also aims to make PT Dayamandiri Dharmakonsilindo and President University able to work together, especially in producing Indonesia’s leading actuaries in the future,” said Maria.
She added, the internship program could later be developed. “The internship program at PT. Dayamandiri dharmakonsilindo can not only be followed by a class of students in the semester that is required to be an apprentice, but also other classes with an apprenticeship duration of approximately one month,” she said.
Maria also hopes that PT Dayamandiri Dharmakonsilindo can provide positive input that will improve the curriculum of the Actuarial study program to be better and in accordance with industry needs.
