Ms Aliya Parveen and Ms Pramila Krishnan, Senior Lecturers in the Faculty of English Language Studies at Majan University College, presented a paper at the second Applied Linguistics and Language Teaching (ALLT) International Conference and Exhibition held at Zayed University, UAE, from 7th to 9th March 2019, Dubai. The main theme of the conference was “Engaging in Change: New Perspectives of Teaching and Learning.”
The conference aimed at enhancing the professional and knowledge levels of teachers from the Gulf region and beyond. Approximately three hundred presenters from around the world took part in the conference, all of whom highlighted ideas and professional practices of relevance to the overall theme.
The title of the paper presented by Ms Aliya and Ms Pramila was “Effective Learning through the Integration of Technology as a Learning Tool”. The aim of the presentation was to show how various technological tools can be integrated into classroom teaching in such a way as to have a sustainable impact on students’ learning.
