    Oh The Humanities!

Listen to Kate Cottle, Chair of Humanities and Literature at Wilmington University on why we should study the humanities.

“We study the humanities because they make us better humans. The first reason to studying humanities is because of the workplace skills. There are certain things that employers want from employees and some of the most important of these are critical thinking, communication and numeracy literacy skills”, said Cottle.

“Because of all of us live in this society, we talk about the Socratic tradition a lot, we all automatically think that we are heirs to the Socratic tradition. But we aren’t.”
