National Changhua University of Education (NCUE) was honored with the Ministry of Education’s Award for Excellence in International Student Guidance and Counseling. NCUE, the only winner in central Taiwan, was one of five of Taiwan’s 160 universities and colleges to receive this prestigious award. The award recognizes NCUE’s ability to effectively support international students through their journey of learning in Taiwan.
International students are an important and integral part of NCUE. The Office of International Affairs facilitates their integration by drawing on support from a wide range of expertise within the university. The Student Psychological Counseling and Guidance Center is particularly critical in helping students cope with maladaptive anxiety. All students are effectively and enthusiastically supported by student buddies and a system of international ambassadors – all orientated towards making sure international students’ lives in Taiwan, and NCUE in particular, progress as smoothly as possible.
