By decision of the United Nations, Al-Farabi Kazakh National University will continue to lead the Global Hub of the UN Academic Impact Program on Sustainable Development for the fourth consecutive term until 2021.
This is evidence of the high international recognition of successful international activities of the leading Kazakhstani University, which is making a significant contribution to the realization of the goals of sustainable development.
The United Nations Academic Impact Program on Sustainable Development has been initiated by Eighth Secretary-General Ban Ki-moon. After leading the Global Hub in 2014, KazNU became the first and only University in the CIS to be awarded such a high position at the international level.
Heading the Global Hub, KazNU has developed and introduced a model of a new generation of higher education institutions – University 4.0. It is based on a symbiosis of technological and spiritual-moral platforms and is aimed at the formation of responsible citizens of the world.
