Innovation Week in the UAE

In order to commemorate the UAE innovation week in the fall semester 2016 -2017, students from a course entitled Communication Skills at Al Ghurair University ,Dubai  were asked to design and build models to promote community comfort in public places.  They were provided lego mechanised pieces by Sunayana Manoj , an English language instructor from the Department of Foundation and General Studies .  This resulted in a lot of discussion as students in higher education worked in teams and built a   non collapsible round tower   that could withstand earthquakes and bad weather.  In addition, there were some innovative chairs that could be used by sick people to obtain some exercise.  On the whole, students    came up with very innovative models to redecorate public areas in the UAE.
