    Indonesian Ambassador in Copenhagen supports the establishment of Indonesian Corner in Denmark

    UNIVERSITAS AIRLANGGA NEWS – Ambassador of the Republic of Indonesia in Copenhagen H. E. Mr. Muhammad Ibnu Said supported the establishment of Indonesian Corner by Universitas Airlangga. A meeting was held at the Indonesian Embassy (KBRI) in Copenhagen, Denmark, Thursday on January 24.

    The Indonesian Embassy in Copenhagen invited UNAIR Rector to initiate cooperation with Mykolas Romeris University (MRU). Furthermore, there is a good prospect to establish cooperation between these two universities.

    An Indonesian Corner will be established at Mykolas Romeris University, one of the largest universities in Lithuania. The meeting was attended by H. E. Mr. Muhammad Ibnu Said and staff, Head of Airlangga Global Engagement (AGE) UNAIR Dian Ekowati, PhD and the team, and Vice-Rector for Academic Affairs MRU Prof. Dr. Regina Valutyte and team.

    “The Indonesian Embassy will fully support efforts to establish an Indonesian Corner in MRU,” said Ibnu Said who was also an alumnus of Faculty of Law, UNAIR Class 1974.

    In addition to Indonesia Corner, the meeting resulted in further collaboration between Universitas Airlangga and Mykolas Romeris University. The collaboration will begin with the staff and student exchanges through Erasmus + program.

    “As stated by the Ambassador, education is one of the main elements that must be developed. Furthermore, global networking and internationalization become very necessary in education, “said one of the staff for Airlangga Global Engagement (AGE) Afifah Rahmania, S.Hub.Int., M.PSDM.

    Besides, MRU specifically invited UNAIR to attend their annual international activities, such as international staff week and international teaching week. (*)
