    Factors of university-industry collaboration affecting university innovation performance

    The fast-growing technology and knowledge-based economies have resulted in the focus towards the collaboration between higher education sector and the private industries. Universities taken on the role of knowledge production and industries are gradually recognising the need for scientific knowledge creation and working with universities to not only tap onto their knowledge resources and be at a competitive edge. However, for university-industry collaborations (UICs) to occur, financial support from governments and industries much needed for resource grant. This study looks into the effects of UIC funding on universities’ technology innovation performance in Taiwan.
