Dr. David Helfand is served as a Founding Tutor, and since 2008, as the President and Vice Chancellor of Quest University Canada. During his time at the Columbia University in New York, he cultivated a deep understanding of the problems of traditional universities and thereby seized an opportunity to redesign higher education.
Dr. Helfand created a university for the 21st century from scratch. The redesign was based on the following 4 key factors with no reference to the knowledge he had about present universities:
- Setting of goals
- Designing an institutional structure
- Creating a curriculum
- Uncovering a way to deliver that curriculum to meet your goals
