Addressing the audience after the signing, Prof. Yu Huang expressed his aspiration that the exchange agreement would be the first step towards a substantial sharing of ideas and implementation of initiatives between the two institutions.

He referred to the development of a tailor-made summer school program at CUD for HKBU Communications’ major students during Summer 2018 and the potential for exchange programmes between Communications students here and in Hong Kong.

Prof. David Santandreu Calonge, Dean of the Faculty of Communication, Arts and Sciences of CUD, welcomed Prof. Yu Huang and thanked him for taking time out of his busy schedule. He indicated this was the start of a mutually beneficial journey and said many ideas were already in the pipeline which would be developed and implemented over time. Initially the focus would be on the field of Communications, but would expand to other areas from 2019 onwards.
