Innovareef, an innovative work from Chulalongkorn University by Assoc. Prof. Dr. Nantharika Chansue, Director of the Veterinary Medical Aquatic Animals Research Center (VMARC), and Mr. Warut Srisuwan, a PhD candidate in the Technopreneurship and Innovation Management Program (CUTIP), has won the National Innovation Awards (NIAWARDS) 2020 for Product and Service Design.
Innovareef, is an innovation designed to make conservation of the world’s oceans more balanced, harmonious, and sustainable.
Starting with the preservation of the coral reef ecosystem and marine life of Thailand under the royal initiative of Her Royal Highness Princess Sirivannavari Nariratana, the innovation was designed and produced with 3D printing to enhance the efficiency and the lifelike beauty of artificial corals that blend in harmoniously with the natural marine ecology.
