Be inspired! Alok Shetty, the Young Indian Architect of Tomorrow

Alok Shetty is a Bengaluru-based architect who has been recognised by Time as one of the next global generation leaders due to his leading project in designing affordable flood-proof houses for slum dwellers in Bengaluru.

Shetty founded Bhumiputra Architecture in 2006 which has since witnessed a substantial development, with awards and recognition from both national and international institutions. He has also been featured in the National Geographic magazine as “One of India’s Future Leaders” and was listed by Forbes as one of it annual 30 under 30 list of young achievers.

During one of his interviews, Shetty shared that “Be prepared to put in the work for a long time before you can see tangible results. Approach praise and criticism in the same way and don’t take it personally. Too much praise can go to your head and too much criticism can de-motivate. It’s important to have a vision and work hard.”
