Ajman University to Offer Doctorate in Business Administration

After a rigorous self-study process, including a visit by a multi-national external review team, Ajman University (AU) has been granted approval by the Commission for Academic Accreditation (CAA) to start a Doctorate in Business Administration (DBA) program. AU’s DBA will target high-caliber professionals in the public and private sectors who are keen to acquire advanced practical research skills. Only three other universities in the UAE offer doctorate-level programs in business that are accredited by the CAA.

“We are so pleased to add the DBA to our growing list of doctorate programs, which already includes a Ph.D. in Law,” commented AU Chancellor Karim Seghir. “We believe that earning a DBA from Ajman University is an investment in success.”

AU’s first DBA intake, commencing in Fall 2019, will include a cohort of 10 graduate students. The 4-year program will be guided by three principles – practical, innovative, and impactful– in support of the College of Business Administration’s vision and mission to be a thought-leader both regionally and globally. Coursework will incorporate global management models, innovation management techniques, and intensive professional development along with student-driven research as part of their dissertation projects.

Founded in 1988 as the first private institution of higher education in the United Arab Emirates and the Gulf region, Ajman University (AU) is now being recognized as an emerging leader on the global academic map.
