    Agon Shu of Japan Gives Scholarships to Thammasat Students in Tha Prachan and Lampang Campus

    Assoc. Prof. Gasinee Witoonchart, President of Thammasat University, Ms.Kasuko Maki, Director of International Relations of Agon Shu, Mr.Tadanori Kanechika, Agon Shu’s Representative gave scholarship of Agon Shu of Japan 2019 to TU’s students in Lampang campus. Asst.Prof.Dr. Munin Pongsapan, President of the Faculty of Laws, TU, Prof.Dr. Anucha Teerakanon, President of the Faculty of Fine and Applied Arts, TU, Ms.Panit Poonsiriwong, Former President of JC Association as a coordinator to Agon Shu, Prof.Dr. Pirot Kumpoosiri, Vice Rector of Legal and Administrative Affairs of Lampang campus, Prof. Rapeepan Kumhorm, President of the Faculty of Social Administration, TU, Asst.Prof. Aekkarin Yollabin, Director of Thammasat University Library, and professors from Thammasat University, Lampang campus, including Mr.Jamlong Suwanchart, Head of Industrial Crafts Design, Faculty of Fine and Applied Arts, Prof.Dr.Pariya Na Nakorn, Assistant Director of Student Affairs, and Prof.Dr.Nattanon Hongwaritthorn, President of the Faculty of Science and Technology are the witnesses.

    Assoc. Prof. Gasinee Witoonchart, President of Thammasat University, was the president of the scholarship ceremony of Agon Shu of Japan. Ms.Kasuko Maki, Director of International Relations of Agon Shu, also gave scholarship to students in Agon Shu event, 2019. 12 JC students were given a scholarship which is about 280,000 Baht. Ms.Panit Poonsiriwong, Former President of JC Association was a coordinator to Agon Shu charity. Asst.Prof.Dr.Achara Pattharanuwong, President of the Faculty of Journalism and Mass Communication, Prof.Dr.Orapan Poachanukul, Vice President of Student Affairs, Assoc.Prof.Kitti Prasertsuk, Vice President of International Relations, and Asst.Prof.Yanisa Boonprasit, Vice President of Student Affairs and Academic Management were witnesses at JM 402 room, Faculty of Journalism and Mass Communication, Thammasat University, Tha Prachan campus on 3 October 2019.

    Agon Shu charity has given scholarships to students from Faculty of Journalism and Mass Communication since 2004 which has been 18 years to now. In the event, Ms.Kazuko Maki, Director of International Relations of Agon Shu, introduced Mr.Tadanori Kanechika as a new coordinator who will work with Thammasat University. On the fourth of October, Ms.Kazuko Maki, Director of International Relations of Agon Shu, and Mr.Tadanori Kanechika, Agon Shu’s Representative, went to give a scholarship to students from Thammasat University, Lampang campus. There were 30 given scholarships, 20,000 Baht each which worth 600,000 Baht in total. Agon Shu has given scholarships to students from Thammasat University, Lampang campus for 15 years. There were 385 scholarships, 20,000 Baht each and it is 7,700,000 Baht in total. The scholarship that Agon Shu gave is a grant scholarship which the charity also encourages students to take a field trip in Japan.

    Assoc. Prof. Gasinee Witoonchart, President of Thammasat University, reveals that “I am grateful that the representatives from Agon Shu paid a visit to Thammasat University. Each year, students who got a scholarship can continue their studies in Master and Doctor Degree along with working. We can see that they have a good future.”

    Asst.Prof.Pimchat Rotsutham, Vice President of Student Affairs and Public Relations, Lampang campus, guided Agon Shu’s representatives to visit Software Training Center room, 3rd floor at Boonchoo Treethong Library. In 2018, Agon Shu donated 1,500,000 Baht for computers and devices. Asst.Prof. Aekkarin Yollabin, Director of Thammasat University Library, and Mrs.Sangduen Ubonsri, Head of Boonchoo Treethong Library showed representatives the way and took them to visit students who received a scholarship in 2018 at Hang Chat, Lampang.

    Assoc.
