    A full accreditation for the Simulation and Clinical Skills Development Center at PNU

    The Simulation and Clinical Skills Development Center at Princess Nourah Bint Abdulrahman University has achieved a full accreditation from the Society for Simulation in Healthcare in the USA, which is a non-profit association committed to promote the profession of healthcare simulation, as well as serving professors and health care providers, researchers, administrators and curriculum developers by fostering education and professional development. In addition, the SSH is constantly care to improve the quality of healthcare practices globally through advocating, sharing and facilitating.

    In this regard, the Executive Director of the Simulation and Clinical Skills Development Center Dr. Rula AlRabah, explained that the accreditation of the Society for Simulation in Healthcare is a turning point and one of the most important goals of the center’s strategic plan. It is considered as well a great achievements due to its results in raising the efficiency and quality of the simulation center. It will also qualify the center to be ranked globally as one of the most important centers in health care simulation and be able to host educational professional courses. AlRabah emphasized that this accreditation is the highest institutional accreditation that could be granted to simulation centers in the world. It is worth mentioning, that the SSH is an internationally leading institution for medical simulation education centers.

    It is noteworthy that the Simulation and Clinical Skills Development Center at Princess Nourah Bint Abdulrahman University is one of the largest simulation centers in the world. It is equipped with the latest medical equipment and the most qualified human cadres to provide courses in continuing professional education in addition to training and evaluating the health practitioners in cooperation with the Saudi Commission for Health Specialties. The center annually has approximately 2000 students and health practitioners. Furthermore, the center currently is prepared to participate in the SimGHOSTS event that is scheduled in February 2020.
